ROMAN BRACELET

Description of Object:

Copper or bronze twist bracelet (armillae)

Discussion:

Probably two copper pieces evenly twisted together, incomplete. Given the size it’s probably for an adult rather than a child.

Date of Object:

Date unknown, but similar ones tend to range from 2nd – 4th Century AD

Find-spot:

Collector B L Vawdrey does not state where the bracelet was found but a large proportion of objects similar to this were known to have been found in Kinderton, Middlewich where he was once resident.

6.5 cm in diameter
